So far I am sticking with XP, I am really afraid of 7 because I know the mail has changed along with a few other things. it came with XP and we also received the Windows 7 disk to upgrade. When we bought the new computer last Dec. What is the SP1 messing about with I wonder? That's daft a fresh win7 install only took 20 minutes on my PC What is in this service pack? I haven't read that there are any material upgrades beyond security, so I don't know what it's been doing for the last hour and a half. Seventeen minutes later, and voila! Total time: 1:26. I have to say it's not exactly spinning my disk off it's spindle right now. It has taken 66 minutes so far, most of it waiting time for the download. The installation looks to be about 2/3 complete. I have a 25 Mbit connection and it's only 70 megabytes. It will create a restore point during the install process, but will it continue on it's own? I want to go to bed!ĩ5% Complete now! Must be a whole lot of people downloading this. I wonder if it will hang up after rebooting. I read that I'll have to reboot during the install. I am trying to run the Microsoft Windows 7 Service Pack 1 update using Windows Update, but the download hangs at 31%.
